Visitor Information

For everyone participating in the underground visit, please provide PPE/clothing size and shoe size in advance so that the appropriate equipment can be prepared

GROUP 1

07:45 – Departure from Knightsbrook Hotel

08:30 – Arrival at Tara Mines & Gear Up

Arrival onsite, safety preparation and fitting of PPE ahead of the underground visit.

09:00 – Underground Mine Visit

Guided underground tour of Tara Mines and an introduction to the mining operations. 

12:30 – Lunch

Lunch in the onsite canteen.

13:30 – Mill Tour

Guided tour of the processing mill, following the journey of the ore from the mine through to zinc and lead concentrate production.

15:00 – End of Visit and transfer to Dublin
