Ottomar Brussee is Manager Geology & Planning at Garpenberg, Boliden Mineral AB. Trained as both a mining engineer and a lawyer, with qualifications from the Netherlands, the UK, Germany and Finland, he brings a rare combination of technical and legal expertise to the mining sector. Having built his early career in underground mine production and mining technology, Ottomar moved into his current role coordinating Boliden's climate impact efforts across the business. This spans internal and external R&D with climate implications, compiling data and drafting policy on the company's climate impact, aligning compliance and target-setting across mine sites, Group and the Smelters division, and representing Boliden in industry-wide legislation and standardisation work through national, EU and ICMM bodies.
