John McGrane is Managing Director of Geoscience Ireland and of the Irish Minerals Industry Group (IMIG), representing Ireland's geoscience, exploration and mining sector at home and internationally. John co-founded the British Irish Chamber of Commerce (BICC) in 2011 and served as its Director General for over a decade, building it into a leading voice for businesses trading between Ireland and the UK. Before that, he completed a forty-year career in financial services with the Royal Bank of Scotland / Ulster Bank Group, working across business, personal, corporate and institutional banking. John is Executive Director of the Family Business Network (FBN) Ireland, supporting the country's family-owned businesses. He is also founder and Chief Executive Officer of kmend, and is involved with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Ireland.
